Husband committed suicide after beating his wife to death- পীরগাছায় স্ত্রীকে কুপিয়ে হত্যার পর স্বামীর আত্মহত্যা
Husband Abdullah Al Masud, 26, committed suicide after killing his wife Taslima Akhter, 28, in Pirgacha Upazila of Rangpur. The incident took place inside the Chaudharani BRAC office at noon on Monday. The deceased was Taslima, a cashier in the BRAC office.
Taslima's home is in Subid village of Pirgacha upazila of Rangpur. Husband Abdullah Al Masood's house is in the Ballamhar area of Gaibandha.
Police sources at Pirgacha police station said that Taslima was working at his office from Monday morning. At 12:30 pm, Abdullah arrived there and took Taslima to a separate room and hurried her down. Abdullah then committed suicide by hanging his neck with a ceiling fan in the room. During the whole incident, Taslimara was no longer in the office. Later, locals rescued Taslima and took her to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead. On receiving information, police recovered Abdullah's body from the scene.
Confirming the incident, acting officer of the Pirgacha police station (OC) Rezaul Karim told the first light, Abdullah was abroad for some years after leaving his wife in the country. After returning home six months ago, tensions between husband and wife began. It is thought that this may have happened. An unprecedented death case is being prepared in this regard.
