Police have arrested a Bangladeshi youth on charges of hurling handguns in Times Square, New York. The New York Times report said that the young man arrested on Thursday night was sent to the court on Friday.
The arrested youth Ashikul Alam (22) Police say he is a US green card holder. Ashikul is in Jackson Heights. The police is not making any allegations about the involvement of the terrorists against him. There may be charges against him after taking him to court.
An official of the New York police who did not want to be named, said, "Observations were being kept on Ashikul for many days." The young camouflage agents were trying to buy arms from them.
According to the law enforcement agencies of the country, Ashikul has been jointly arrested by the United States Central Investigation Agency (FBI) and New York Police. But the FBI is reluctant to say anything about it now. Even the attorney-general's Brooklyn office spokesman did not agree to comment on the matter.
